- Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website located at www.saveourfamiliesnonprofit.org (the “Site”), operated by Save Our Families Nonprofit (“SOF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
- About SOF
SOF is a 501(c)(3) community health and community care nonprofit based in Cleveland, Ohio, serving individuals and families across Cuyahoga County. Nothing in these Terms is intended to describe or limit the community care services SOF provides in person; these Terms govern only your use of the Site.
- Our Services Are Free
SOF does not sell products or services, and the Site is not an online store. Information about SOF’s programs and services on the Site is provided free of charge and for informational purposes. The only payments processed through the Site are voluntary donations, described in Section 6 below.
- No Medical, Legal, or Professional Advice
Content on the Site, including descriptions of our testing, harm reduction, and community care programs, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, mental health, or other professional advice, and it does not create a provider-client, patient, or professional relationship between you and SOF. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions you may have about a medical condition or other personal circumstance, and never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on the Site.
- Eligibility and Service Availability
Submitting a form on the Site, including a service request, volunteer, board, or job application, is a request, not a guarantee. SOF’s programs and services are subject to eligibility criteria, funding, capacity, and staff availability, and SOF reserves the right to decline, delay, or redirect any request at its discretion. Submitting a request through the Site does not create an entitlement to a specific service, timeline, or outcome.
- Donations
If you choose to make a donation through the Site, it is processed securely by Stripe, as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Donations are voluntary gifts to SOF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and are generally non-refundable. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your donation. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us using the information in Section 17 and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it.
- Acceptable Use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or any accounts or data connected to it
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including through viruses, bots, or excessive automated requests
- Copy, scrape, or republish content from the Site without our permission, except as allowed under Section 8
- Use the Site to harass, threaten, or harm SOF staff, volunteers, or other visitors
- Intellectual Property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and the SOF name and brand, are owned by SOF or used with permission, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own personal, noncommercial use, and share it with attribution to SOF, but you may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our written permission.
- Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to, or rely on, third-party websites and services, including Stripe, Google Analytics, and Mailchimp. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. SOF does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOF and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
- Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SOF and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
- Privacy and Cookies
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which describe what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
- Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
- Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
